Advanced Injector Process

Each injector is first visually inspected and then checked for coil winding open or shorts. Each injector is engraved with a number. Advanced Injector Process
The exterior of each injector is cleaned in a designated parts washer using a specialized solvent to elimate debris that may contaminate the cleaning and flow testing solutions used in the subsequent steps. Metal body top feed injectors are bead blasted to remove the paint and rust. Advanced Injector Process
Each injector is placed on our modified ASNU Fuel Injector / Flow Tester. The temperature of the test fluid is maintained at 70 +/- 1 degree to maintain consistancy regardless of ambient temperature. They are now leak tested at various pressures and the spray patterns checked. Advanced Injector Process
Here is where the actual injector performance is measured. Both dynamic (pulsed) and static (wide open) tests are performed and the results recorded. Pulsed flow testing is very important since it is how the injector will be performing in the vehicle. Advanced Injector Process
Now, the pintle cap, o-rings, filters, and spacers are removed. They are now placed back to the parts washer to clean the areas now exposed. Advanced Injector Process
The injectors are placed in our first ultrasonic cleaning tank. This preliminary step is necessary to clean the bottom and the exterior of the injectors. This cleaning also prevents the contamination of the cleaning solution in the next steps. Advanced Injector Process
The injectors are removed and now placed in ultrasonic cleaning tank number 2. The cleaning fluid in this cleaner is kept extremely clean. Once again they are pulsed. Advanced Injector Process
After the cleaning, a high pressure back-flush is performed to remove any remaining debris. Advanced Injector Process
Now each injector is put into the ASNU machine for a second time to complete another round of both static and dynamic flow testing. Results are again recorded. If an injector does not perform per specification, it will be completely cleaned again in both tanks and then re-tested. Advanced Injector Process
Here you can see the results. As you can see, these injectors flowed to within 1% of each other. Advanced Injector Process
All remaining replaceable parts such as filters and spacers are now installed. Each injector is placed in a numbered plastic bag that corresponds with it's engraved number. Advanced Injector Process
An Excel performace / Test Report is created showing both the before and after flow data. Your injectors are carefully packed and now ready to ship. Advanced Injector Process
